We facilitate a love of learning and sport to develop passionate young leaders.

Our Story

Bailey's two greatest loves are reading and women's sports, so why not create a program that combines the two and throw in mentorship and leadership development as well?

When Bailey started working as a Program Manager at LeagueApps & FundPlay Foundation over a year ago, she saw firsthand the incredible work youth sports leaders were making in their communities. When she met a board member from SAPNA NYC at the NextUp conference who took a chance and offered to run a trial with their families. After completing Benita Fitzgerald Mosley's Why Not Me class, Bailey was able to bring this program to life, with major help from SAPNA NYC.

SAPNA NYC has been a champion of Lit Leaders from the beginning. Learn more about their powerful work serving South Asian women and immigrants in NYC here.

The New York Public Library has also been an incredible partner to Lit Leaders. We are especially grateful to the Westchester Square branch in The Bronx for being a generous and active partner in our programing.

FundPlay Foundation offered us a grant and has donated equipment and school supplies which has greatly helped our ability to grow and organize as an organization.

Friends and family members of Bailey Holloway have also been generous and supportive of our programming and mission.
